Global Horizons Task Group

The Global Horizons Task Group draws together a number of people working in the diocese on issues with a global dimension, under the chairmanship of Bishop James Bell, the Bishop of Knaresborough.

Fairtrade Fortnight was held during  February/March 2012.

Sri Lanka Link Officers, Revd Paul Ainsworth and Mrs Pat Ainsworth
Paul and Pat act as link persons between the diocese and our linked dioceses of Colombo and Kuranagala in Sri Lanka. They oversee the David Young Sri Lanka Fund enabling an interchange of personnel between the dioceses.

The post of Global Education Adviser on the Diocesan Education Team is currently vacant
 

Adrian Alker, the Diocesan Director of Mission Resourcing
Adrian keeps the group informed of the work of the mission societies and other world church organisations.

The Group also intends to widen its interests through representation from the Middle East Focus Group, Christian Aid and the Diocesan Environment Group
